Our Founder

Julian Whitaker, MD, is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Emory University Medical School in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1979 he opened the Whitaker Wellness Institute in Newport Beach, California, and today it is the nation’s largest and most comprehensive alternative medicine clinic. Dr. Whitaker is the author of the monthly newsletter Health & Healing, which has reached more than 3.5 million households since 1991. He has also written 13 books, appeared on numerous national television and radio shows, lectured all over the country on issues of health and the political forces within the medical profession, and is the host of the talk radio program, The Dr. Whitaker Show. Dr. Whitaker is the founder of the Freedom of Health Foundation and has been widely recognized for his efforts in advancing medical freedom.
